Ormsby landed reinforcements on Leyte on 14-Nov-1944. Late November (possibly on this date) Ormsby received orders to return to the U.S. for an overhaul at San Pedro, California. This document was contributed by Randy Cook whose father, Jack Cook served aboard the Ormsby.
